Ceylon sapphires from Sri Lanka are prized for their vibrant bright color. Sapphires from Southeast Asia are prized for their traditional dark hue and used in most commercial jewellery, and in recent years, Madagascar and the other nation are now steady suppliers of rough.

Sri Lanka is also the first location to discover the pink-peach color that is classified as Padparadscha Sapphire. The term Padparadscha means Lotus flower in Sinhalese. The pink-peach color Padparadscha sapphires are one of many different hues of the stones. Others are golden, yellow, bubblegum pink, and soft purples. Manglam Gems has a diverse range of sapphires.
