What a perfect ending! If you notice, when Edward arrived at the asylum, no one checked his papers or anything. It was suspenseful, intriguing, dramatic, thrilling and in a way horrifically ironic. I thought the movie was amazing and I really liked it. An early scene where Newgate gets a ride from a family to Stonehearst becomes particularly ironic in this light. Since this same scene is explained in clear detail mere minutes later, it felt like it could either have had the last couple sentences snipped or rewritten. One scene in particular, right before the end, felt somewhat awkwardly rushed in delivery. Either works. I think they could've played up the first plot twist a little better between Lamb and Salt.
